Take care of earth and look good doing it slow fashion, beauty, and climate ✦

sustainability is for everyone

About me

Climate Diva is a blog I started back in college when I was pursuing my degree in environmental studies. At the time, I was frustrated with how little sustainability and climate change were prioritized in media, especially in an uplifting, accessible, non-judgmental way. Meanwhile, preparing for an environmental career, I constantly felt that I needed hide my passion for fashion & beauty order to be taken seriously in my field.

Climate Diva is the result of rejecting the notion that we have to pick just one facet of ourselves to share with the world. It’s also about recognizing that there is a place for sustainability in every space and industry, whether it’s fashion, beauty, food, etc. Sustainability has been an exclusive niche for so long, but environmental & social progress is so much greater when we all participate. Climate action is needed everywhere. We each have an important role to play in building a better world, and this page is a reminder that we don’t have to sacrifice style & aesthetics to do so!

How to quit fast fashion

Build a timeless wardrobe instead of a trendy one

Fast fashion thrives on trends and our longing to always want to wear the ‘newest thing’. Building a wardrobe of timeless, comfortable pieces that fit you right, and practicing gratitude for what you do have will help prevent you from making an impulse purchase at a fast fashion store. Building a timeless wardrobe takes time so don’t feel pressured to do this all at once.
